After I get a new webcam that works with windows 7 I decided to upgrade my OS on my thinpad x61 to Windows 7 x64 to take advantage of the 4GB ram I had. So far so good with all the drivers loaded on the first go. The only problem I've encountered is my mute button doesn't work correctly. It would mute, but the sound icon in the task bar doesn't show, and it also won't un-mute.. But everything else works well and is fairly speedy on T7250. I'll update this post as I go along install various apps.

The mute button issue is addressed by installing Lenovo System Interface Driver

May be you need to check your chip set drivers driver or multimedia drivers.It may solve your problems.
Same problem here. Press volume up/down will unmute. Did you find the fix for this?
